Location: Any twoday office (Helsinki, Tampere, Hyvinkää, Turku, Jyväskylä) with flexible remote working opportunities.
Salary range: Base salary ranges from 3000 - 6500€ + additional bonus based on your customer invoicing.
We are looking for Senior Data Engineers with experience in Lakehouse architecture and Databricks or Microsoft Fabric to join our supportive, and quality-oriented team of experienced consultants.
Responsibilities:
In this position, you create modern data solutions for our clients. Your responsibilities may include some of the following tasks:
- Designing data architectures for large enterprise clients.
- Taking a lead role in projects, working closely with development teams to get things done with high quality.
- Acting as a consultant, translating client requirements into technical specifications.
- Building data solutions with tools like Azure, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and Power Platform
- Integrating data from multiple source systems into a cohesive data platform.
- Using data modeling and data governance practices to meet business and analytics goals.
- Developing reports and dashboards that present data in a way that creates value for end users.
Your role and focus areas will be shaped based on your previous experiences and interests.
Who are you working with:
Your role is based in twoday Finland’s Data & AI business unit with approximately 200 employees in versatile roles related to modern data & analytics.
Your colleagues & stakeholders:
- You’ll belong to a customer team, which is your home base and team with whom you spend most of your working time
- You’ll get the opportunity to be part of our technology practices. Technology practices are communities of professionals with similar backgrounds focused on competence and offering development.
- You’ll have your own People Lead supporting your professional growth, career development, and wellbeing.
- You’ll work closely with customers, who are mainly Finland’s largest enterprises in both private and public sectors in all major industries.
Key Skills in this Role:
- Experience building Lakehouse solutions with Databricks and/or Microsoft Fabric.
- Solid understanding of data modeling in a medallion architecture.
- Skilled in Python and Spark.
- Advanced SQL skills.
- Experience with Azure Functions or similar serverless tools.
- Comfortable working in Agile environments, using methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.
- Good communication skills in at least English, and Finnish skills are an advantage
- Additionally, we appreciate your proficiency in leading projects and being a supportive colleague.
What success looks like in this role?
During the first 6 months, you have:
- Integrated into your new work community and are a great culture-add to our team
- Reached a billing ratio of at least 50%, or you are likely to reach it soon
- Your expertise has proven to be relevant to our customer projects
