Data Engineering Consultant
Join us to build the data platforms behind Finland’s largest organizations!
Data Engineer Consultant
Location: Any Twoday office (Helsinki, Tampere, Hyvinkää, Turku, Jyväskylä, Oulu, Lappeenranta) with flexible remote working opportunities.
Salary range: Base monthly salary ranges from professional to principal level 4000 - 7000€ + additional bonus based on your customer invoicing.
The data platforms behind Finland’s largest organizations
Data engineering is changing because of AI. The platforms we build are becoming the foundation that AI agents depend on, which raises the bar on governance, data quality, and how much people can trust what comes out.
Over the next few years AI will reshape how data engineers explore data, write transformations, and move from a question to a working solution. We are looking for data experts to join us, who want to drive that change at some of Finland’s largest organizations, not wait it out.
We’re hiring across the range. Some of our engineers are a few years into their careers and want to grow fast. Others are principals who lead the architecture and set the technical direction.
Twoday holds top-tier partnerships across Databricks, Snowflake Microsoft and AWS. For a data engineer that means real vendor access, early sight of new platform capabilities, and certification backing when a project calls for it. It also means projects with enough depth to keep getting better.
Responsibilities:
As a Data Consultant, you have a versatile role where you
blend technical expertise with strong industry understanding
apply a consulting mindset to guide customers toward impactful data solutions
design and implement modern data architectures that support scalable, high‑quality analytics as well as AI agents
lead delivery, open new projects and ensure successful execution of data initiatives
help customers solve complex business challenges across domains such as finance, manufacturing, retail, and the public sector
bridge the gap between business needs and technological possibilities
Who you'll work with:
Your role is based in Twoday Finland’s Data & AI business unit with approximately 220 people in versatile roles across modern data & analytics.
You’ll belong to a customer team, your home base and the team you spend most of your working time with
You’ll belong to at least one technology practice, a community of professionals with similar backgrounds focused on competence and offering development
You’ll have your own People Lead supporting your professional growth, career development, and wellbeing
You’ll work closely with customers, mainly Finland’s largest enterprises across the private and public sectors and all major industries
Key Skills in this Role:
Skilled in SQL and Python
At least 2-3 years of relevant data engineering experience
As a seasoned professional: proven experience leading data projects and delivery, ensuring smooth execution of data initiatives from design to implementation
Strong technical expertise in technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric and dbt, with the ability to design and implement modern data architectures that support scalable, high‑quality business scenarios.
Solid industry knowledge in one or more relevant domains, such as finance, manufacturing, retail, or the public sector
A consulting mindset, able to guide customers toward impactful, value-driven decisions and to translate complex business challenges into practical, scalable data solutions
The ability to bridge business and technology, working fluently with both stakeholders and technical teams to create clarity and momentum
Language skills: Many of our current customer engagements require Finnish, though we also run projects where the working language is English.
